A Bitter Message of Hopeless Grief

“A hallucinogenic boggler . . a spellbinding and beautiful experience.”
Forced Exposure

“Reiss' fast paced film views like a Gumby episode that's gone terribly, terribly wrong.”
Steven Mikulan LA Weekly Pick of the Week

“This film is fun and funny.  Reiss' camera mitigates the cold impersonality of the machines, making them seem almost human, even as they inflict chaotic mechanical justice on one another.”
Laurie Ochoa LA Weekly Pick of the Week

Logline
A Bitter Message of Hopeless Grief is a fractured narrative featuring large anthropomorphic robots constructed by Survival Research Laboratories (S.R.L.).  Living in their own fictional world devoid of humankind, the machines act out scenarios of perpetual torment, exasperated consumption and tragic recognition.
