Bomb It 2
“The film rockets through cities such as Hong Kong, Melbourne, Jakarta, Bethlehem, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Perth, Chicago and more, exploring the different styles and themes of the various artists. For some it’s about spreading political messages, for others it’s a form of meditation. Some seek to bring beauty to drab architecture, some are rebelling against the ever-present visual noise of brand advertising. The film feels much like an evening out tagging a wall, with its rapid fire delivery that, when you take a moment to step back and appreciate, truly shines.”
Bomb It 2 explores the indigenous street art scenes in Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Perth, Melbourne, Copenhagen, Chicago, Austin and the Palestinian refugee camps on the West Bank. Using a ultra compact camera and sound package, Reiss traveled by himself to film artists and writers representing a wide range of cultures, styles and beliefs including Klone, Know Hope, Great Bates, Twoone, Darbotz, Killer Gerbil and Zero, Bon, Alex Face, Sloke, Husk Mit Navn, Ash, Phibs, Stormie Mills, Beejoir, Zero Cents, Vexta, MIC, and Xeme, and many more.
