Decade of Fire
“Our team worked with Jon/8 Above to restart a stalled distribution deal and his connections and speed pushed it quickly to successful completion! Jon's connections and know-how were invaluable resources, and he was incredibly insightful, forthright and responsive throughout a process that would otherwise be opaque and confusing. On my next project, I'll plan on consulting with him from the beginning! ”
Gretchen Hildebran, Producer/Director Decade of Fire.
Distribution consultation - helped the filmmakers navigate various distribution entities in order to create a split rights strategy to make sure they could reach as wide an audience as possible.
Throughout the 1970’s, fires consumed the South Bronx. Black and Puerto Rican residents were blamed for the devastation even as they battled daily to save their neighborhoods. In DECADE OF FIRE, Bronx-born Vivian Vázquez Irizarry pursues the truth surrounding the fires – uncovering policies of racism and neglect that still shape our cities, and offering hope to communities on the brink today.
